Extremely supportvie. Kind of hands-off in experiments but any idea can be discussed and properly advised. Responsive in writing.
Variable but in general pretty high. Almost all previous Ph.D. students graduated with NS sub journals. All PhD students graduated in 5 years. Very competitive to get admitted into the group.
Affluent in funding. Part of the members got RA even in their first year. Until now, all students after 2nd are supported by RA. Lots of well-maintained equipment.
Publish a few papers in high-impact journals. Leader in 2D magnets and TMD research. Cooperated closely with other leading groups in high T SC, 2D TI, and graphene from UW physics.
In general good. Multi-cultural lab. The elder graduate students/postdocs will help to start.
Yes, I recommend this PI.
