I worked in his lab for one school year, during which I did not feel I had access to a safe working environment or the resources to become successful; the challenges were not academic, they were in managing my working relationship with him. I truly wish it would have been different as the work is interesting, engaging, and something I still hope to pursue in some amount in my career. However there was no work/life balance working for this lab, and it prevented me from developing skills as a researcher. managing my own life, commitments, happiness, and the free time I could have spent researching my own topics of interest in regards to the research work.
I have now transferred to a different lab and a different advisor. The new lab provides a safe working environment, room to grow, while maintaining the life that I have already built. It provides the experience I sought in leaving my career to pursue something greater.

If you are reading this in contemplation of working with this lab, I hope it provides something of use in your decision.

## Advisor Style & Mentorship
5 students left in one year. He seems to be "Hire and Fire" style. Push students to their limits and is very mean to his students.
